Interesting development.
Purely by coincidence as well as the Bloomberg hack who tweeted something that was all over news outlets the Conservative Treehouse had their own take on it. In this version Peek was part of a Deep State Resistance team because he worked for General Adams, who once shared a stage with Barack Obama. They speculate that this "mole" may be the person passing intelligence to Adam Schiff that the White House has been withholding material evidence pertinent to the impeachment trial. It's not their strongest bit of work suggesting that he was spilling the beans on this I guess.

For some bizarre reason the CTH failed to mention that he was part of Trump's transition team and was seen on appointment to his previous role on Iran and Iraq as a Trump loyalist and former Kushner employee who would do his bidding on Iran. But I guess you knew that from your research of source material you always do before posting this kind of false trail.
