Far more people sat around where I sit than normal this season - it looked like quite a few more than 10/12 thousand to me.

It was very quiet and from where I sit in the Ninian all the other stands looked to have a lot more empty seats than usual

I too in the Ninian from the empty seats and the sparse away contingent estimated the crowd to be under 20,000 - so when 22K+ was announced, I thought, "lots of absent ST holders counted in again".

But my wife listened to the radio commentary while driving and said that it was reported that some of the 'Red Stand' was used - which would explain the figure given.

Anyone corroborate this?

The red seats at the back of the lower Ninian were occupied as they usually are. The upper part was empty (unless the fans were all dressed as seats).

A few more games like yesterday and I may try the “seat” outfit myself !
That was truly awful but at least we didn’t lose and good to see Jazz Richards back on the pitch.
