70s I know the Ian Gibson one was against QPR , last game of 71/72 and didn't he have to play in goal. So I presume one of Warboys three sub apps were needing him to play in goal?

No, both of these substitute appearances were against QPR - you're heading in the right direction with the Gibson one.

One of Warboys sub appearances was in the home game v QPR, Gibson's in the away game (His only sub app for City in the League). City kept clean sheets in both games in the same season.

No, you're right that they both came in the same season against the same team, but there is something else which links them.

You got me on this one Paul! didn't they come on because someone got sent off? Foggon did earlier in the season. And Frank Parsons in the last game?

No, but the answer appears in your message above.

It's to do with sending off then? But i am now so old ( same as you) I cannot remember which ones.

70's. I'm also struggling with this one. I know Gibson came on against QPR in the last league game of the 71/72 season when Frank Parsons was injured and Warboys took over in goal. Warboys had come on as a sub in the earlier fixture that season replacing Brian Clark. Struggling to link those two things though.

He also came on in two other games, once for Foggon and once for Richie Morgan. Maybe someone was sent off and they were the players withdrawn to accommodate the substitute?

90s - Karl Ready. Can't remember him playing for the Wales first team. I remember him playing for Motherwell, but after that, I have no idea.

    It's Michael Meaker.

    The 10s is Nahki Wells.

To be honest, you'd be very lucky to find anyone sad enough to be finding out the price of an under 8s season ticket on New Years Eve. I doubt such a person even exists.

Is the 20s free if accompanied by a full paying adult?

Based on your previous message, I can only conclude that this answer is a truly brilliant guess .

Regarding the 70s question, the records I used to set it have Warboys coming on for John Parsons (which seems more realistic to me unless Brian Clark was injured), so I had the link as the surname Parsons.

Ahhh. Just checked and it was John Parsons not Brian Clark. Should have worked that one out quicker but I can blame festive alcohol.
