This is dreadful news. Completely ruined my day. How can an innocent man like Roger Stone be denied a retrial because all of the evidence showed that he was guilty and one of the jurors apparently doesn't like Trump. I shall be writing to my congressman forthwith!
Roger Stone was found guilty on seven criminal charges of obstruction of an official proceeding, making false statements to Congress (then held by Republicans), and witness tampering.
The sentencing judge said
“The truth still exists, the truth still matters, Roger Stone's insistence that it doesn't, his belligerence, his pride in his own lies are a threat to our most fundamental institutions, to the very foundation of our democracy. And if it goes unpunished, it will not be a victory for one party or another.”
Still it's US Justice that is rotten in locking up the criminals in Trump's orbit whilst Clinton, McCabe, Comey, Page, Awan, Strozk, Lynch, Brennan and all the people called criminals without criminal charge walk the streets freely.
