Not decrying what people went through during WW2 but I do know that my mother and father’s family’s had bugger all in the 20s & 30s, even before in my Dad’s case seeing as he was born in 1913. So even though rationing was shite it wasn’t as though they were dining out regularly or Deliveroo we’re bringing them takeaways on their boneshakers before the war. There must have been old stagers from the Great War also taking the piss out of the whiners reminding them how hard it was during the 14/18 lot, while they were shot down in flames by Boer War veterans at the time of their conflict and so on and so forth. I think the organisation and running of the show during this pandemic is deserving of the moaning and groaning by the general public, it’s been a shambles really, thank the Lord it was a pandemic and not a war, can you imagine our leaders planning a winning strategy??

In regards to your last sentence, if we do have another war can we conscript all the patriotic, daft old xenophobic wankers who voted Brexit to go kill Johnny Foreigner whilst us remainers can watch them being blown to bits on Sky News eating fromage and vin de Blanc.

I'm sure Colonel Blinky aka Boris will lead the charge over the top.

Is that because they just send you off to various schools for training/experience etc? That’s a right shame....we need more younger teachers!

I was speaking to a restaurant owner this morning ( he is a customer of mine ) and he was moaning that the later " sitting " is the better earner, better wine sold is the main extra, i felt for him, but i did point out that if he could get people in eating 30 mins earlier he could get 2 " sittings " in, he moaned some more and i reminded him its got to be better that a " full lockdown " and zero customers, he then had to decide to take the Range Rover, Tesla or Merc, it was a tough choice

So University students don't socialise and visit Student Unions to drink and eat. How times have changed. A Scottish University has 500 students in quarantine.

I doubt the student union in Cardiff is open, in fact it’s being rebuilt so no worries there. One big factor on keeping pubs open is where do the 50,000 students in Cardiff hang out if they close them all? Pubs or house parties?

The record for new cases in a day for the UK is 6,201 recorded in May, but there were 6,178 today with 37 deaths. Although it's hardly a like for like comparison because there are so many more tests now, that's a rise which puts on the same sort of course as Spain and France experienced recently.

Moves fast this virus, one of my team caught it off a contractor, a few days later around 30 of us have a cold. My team member has a headache has a test which comes back positive. No cough. no sore throat, no breathing issues, no temperature, no loss of taste but a positive test. Seems the symptoms are random. I've been off since last Tuesday, got wiped out & spent 3 days sleeping with total fatigue but again none of the "look out for" symptoms. My 10 days is up in a couple of days.

Beware, the symptoms are not obvious, it's a different response person by person.

What industry are you in. 30 infected. Were you indoors or outdoors. That sort of infection rate would suggest being in a pub with someone with it and your fecked 2 metres or not.

Not everybody out, just stop serving alcohol at that time. People can still enjoy their meals after that and finish a bottle purchased before 10.

Apologies I must have misunderstood that the new rules meant that every customer was out of the door when the doors locked at 10pm.

Looks like the industry is over-reacting if that's the case

No I don't think you did.
Drakeford only clarified it at a press conference this morning. Same with pubs, last drink 10 but people can then leave in dribs and drabs to avoid a bunch standing the the pavement outside at 10 PM all together.

Living in England might have something to do with it. It's such a shock when politicians clarify an announcement in Parliament and an address to the nation these days!

    Automotive

    Indoors

30 in isolation, not all test results back but those that are back are positive

We have extreme measures & cleaning in place, which has been judged as benchmark by SMMT.

It just took one contact with a 3rd party and it's up & running

Just tried to download the new App onto my IPhone 6 only to learn that it is not compatible with my phone because I can't get the appropriate version of IOS. So, a phone that is only five years old is considered obsolete for the official App for the virus which has killed ten of thousands in this country - a virus that is shown to be more virulent and fatal in poorer areas, the sort of areas where people are more likely to have older phones because they can't afford newer ones. I'd add as well that the most vulnerable age group are not in the habit of rushing out and buying the new IPhone when it is released every year - there will be millions of older people in this country who will not be able to use the App this morning even if they were minded to.
