However, I've no problem with the logic behind the original decision in that smaller, independent shops were, effectively, being discriminated against because supermarkets had sold the goods they specialised in while they were told they had to close.
Ive no problem with supermarkets not being allowed to sell non essential items. The idea is to avoid unnecessary contact with others so if you dont need something then dont go to the supermarket.
