I didn't see any of the staff wearing a mask either, but, you would assume the Welsh Government wants everyone in Merthyr and RCT to wear one while they are in a shop and I can't see it happening unless they tell people they have to wear them.

    Re: Coronavirus update

The choice has been made for them now, wear your mask or don't come in to shop. I was in Tesco last night and whilst most people are still being cautious and respecting other shoppers, there are still morons leaning over people, standing too close, yapping in the isles, etc etc. I feel like punching them sometimes!

Can't see us getting down the city this side of Christmas thats for sure.

Down here ( im in England ) a very very high % wear them, in the past week ( or 10 days ) when ive been out and about, ive seen 1 Gypsy family, Asian bloke and a complete scruffy family not wearing them, most even wear them around town ( outside ) its just 2nd nature now

I think many died with the virus rather than of the virus.

However as you say many others died more than 28 days after being diagnosed at least partially because of the efect of the virus.

I suppose in the months and years to come attempts will be made to clarify the figures.

They are going to have to wear them from Monday.

    Re: Coronavirus update

got a issue due to covid19

Our girls grassroot football season starts tomorrow, just had a message that our GK's mum, our GK's sister has been sent home from from school with a " chesty cough " , her mum is taking her for a test, though has said she has asthma and always gets a chesty cough this time of the year, but safer than sorry she is having a test, so the sister ( our GK ) is staying home

Where does that leave the rest of the team, should we be isolating ? ? ?

ive googled it and found this

    https://www.publichealth.hscni.net/s...Businesses.pdf

    10. What to do if a member of staff or the public with
suspected COVID-19 has recently been in your workplace
For contacts of a suspected case in the workplace, no restrictions or special control
measures are required while laboratory test results for COVID19 are awaited. In particular,
there is no need to close the workplace or send other staff home at this point.
    Most possible
cases turn out to be negative. Therefore, until the outcome of test results is known there is
no action that the workplace needs to take.

    https://www.gov.uk/guidance/nhs-test...place-guidance

    Alerting close contacts
When someone first develops symptoms and orders a test, they will be encouraged to alert the people that they have had close contact with in the 48 hours before symptom onset. If any of those close contacts are co-workers, the person who has developed symptoms should consider asking their employer to alert those co-workers.

Close contacts at this stage do not need to self-isolate unless requested to do so by NHS Test and Trace or a public health professional, but they should:

avoid contact with people at high increased risk of severe illness from coronavirus, such as people with pre-existing medical conditions
take extra care in practising social distancing and good hygiene
watch out for symptoms and self-isolate if they also show signs of coronavirus

Now to me that reads we need not do anything till we know its a + result ? ? , we did a specialist GK training session with our GK and 2 others from our team (one being my daughter ) on Wednesday evening, we Played a friendly last Saturday aswell when our GK played, but reading the both above we just need to carry on and wait till we find out the result

    Re: Coronavirus update

Wales has until now refused to comply with WHO advice on encouraging wearing of masks in shops. While this U-turn by the Welsh Government is welcome it would be helpful if they would explain the science behind their belief that despite rising case numbers it is still completely OK to sit inside a pub for hours on end without wearing one.

I dont think youd need to isolate or anything as your keeper isnt positive or have symptoms.

It may be worth checking whether as a precaution the team should be playing.

Ive contacted our clubs welfare officer and messaged the other teams coach, seemed fair to let him in on the decision, if he doesnt fancy it, then fair enough
