If its such a failure why is have so many countries included ours included have had their made better, I can remember a time of awful personal hardships and have found that through the years it got better , I look at my children now and think gosh this is a better world ( I agree its far from perfect ) what would you have in its place .

Before capitalism the world was a very poor , war mongering death ridden place, many society's and lives have benefited from it In my humble view does it need reigning in ( yes ) .

The most successful Labour party in my time ( Blair )embraced it , perhaps Labour needs to do the same and create a new visionary shape it in its own to see if that appeals to the electorate as the last shout was abysmal.

I can't see old Joe Biden or China sweeping capitalism away anytime soon either .

I don't think the book is a critique on capitalism more the response to the pandemic.

on capitalism, I heard an Economist on BBC world service the order day (I forget her name) saying some interesting things about capitalisms role in the biggest issues facing the world.
most notably the rapidly increasing inequality in many countries around the world that is almost always followed by unrest.

I followed up on the obvious Johnson reference , the book about capitalism which was referred too its all political in every shape and form and a dig .

Why,? It’s Johnson who linked the vaccine with capitalism and greed, not me, I was just repeating what I thought was a bizarre comment by the Prime Minister. However, that was enough for a completely wrong deduction to be made that a book about Coronavirus was actually about capitalism- I’ve almost finished it now and while the lives v money decisions are analysed, there’s absolutely no reference to economic theory as you Johnson apologists would realise if you read it.
Second, my only mention of the Labour Party was in bafflement as to how he managed to bring them into things! I’ve never denied I post about politics, but, agree with them or not, I like to think that what I post is coherent - I genuinely don’t get what LOM is trying to say and wondered if he had meant to post in that thread on the Labour Party.

I disagree with you on this. take a hotel in Wales, Drakeford gives 36 hours notice that it can open. It needs to get staff together, possibly off furlough, get stock of food in, heat and clean the building, taking bookings etc

Same with Caravan sites. They have been taking a chance by getting staff in the grounds ready ahead of Drakeford's announcement, getting the grounds tidy, etc

There is no reason on earth why he should leave these important decisions for Welsh business until the last minute. You and I look at the daily Covid data and we can see the trends as well as Drakeford. He has a total disregard for business.

Yo lads, I had my first jab a week ago. Since having it I've had a headache. I never suffer with headaches, or very rarely, maybe 2 or 3 a year. Anyone else having the same? Apologies if it's been mentioned previously in this thread.

When i had Covid in Nov, the headaches were the worse i have every experienced, never stopped for 6 days, i mean massive headaches, day and night, i was still getting them 3 weeks on ( not constant though ) it appears its a side effect of the vaccine aswell

Very interested to read your post. I very rarely get headaches but back in January I had a headache that lasted for about 2 weeks and I was beginning to get worried. I had a telephone consultation with the GP and he arranged for blood tests. These were all clear so he arranged a CT scan. Again all clear. I asked the question could it be COVID? Because I didn't have the high temperature, cough or loss of taste/smell symptoms apparently I did not qualify for a COVID test so I guess I will never know!

Don't want to alarm you, but whereas the word is that you shouldn't worry if you have some side effects from the vaccine that last a few days and then go, a bad headache that lasts for about a week is something the medics say that you should think about contacting your GP about.

I wouldn't say it's a bad headache. On a 1-10 it's a 3 at most.
I don't have it when I first wake up, but after 20 minutes or so it comes on and lasts all day.

I tend to have headaches quite often and that sounds similar to the sort I have - they got a bit worse for a while after I had the vaccine, but I never thought about seeing anyone about it, it doesn't sound like yours are anything to be concerned about either.

Wife’s had the same, standard for Pfizer anyway. Can get short of breath too and just feel like shit for 48 hrs.
