In fact, in the first week of February, Johnson was making a speech about how the UK wasn't going to close its economy like the rest of the world seemed to be because BRITAIN IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS. So yes, they should be held to account for that.
Politicians (of all colours) don't answer the question, they know an interview only lasts for two minutes or four minutes or whatever, so if they can avoid answering the question or answer a different one to fill that time, they will. An interviewer who lets a politician do that is weak.

No, he didn't spend £20m on the tests. They were ordered but only on the basis that they were checked here and worked correctly and they didn't. That was a rumour started by the left wing media, for which you obviously rely on for most of your material. We did send PPE to China early on in the pandemic but they have reciprocated back to us since with much more. Its called showing humanity to other human beings.
