You only have to watch "The real football factories" with that idiot Billy the limpet to see what Burnley is like.

Once I've watched us there and I didn't last until half time and got back on the train to Blackpool. Shit hole, shit game, shit fans.

“Noah build the arc” and “ Turn the lights out”are massive over reactions in my book.

Perhaps the message should have been "Black Lives Matter TOO" for the hard of thinking. Maybe that would curtail all this White Lives Matter crap!

This is exactly what they should have done. It's a lot harder for people to confuse

I dont know why young white working class males are being singled out as if they are the issue.

The protest/riots were very much a 'class' thing. Posh privileged middle class white kids from London on one side, poor, ill-educated white males from outside the London bubble. No-one protesting for them though..

Joking aside. All lives matter would have been a better title, as there are many cultures all over the world that suffer from racism. It needs to be a global message, followed by lots of eduction in schools world wide..

Amen, including those countries of complete black origin , and do those black lives matter when they stab each other in the streets of London in the name of crime

You're right. It's like knocking your head on a nail. Another thoroughly depressing thread.

Have a look at some of the police reaction to the asian grooming gangs in the north...

"The five-year investigation conducted by the IOPC, codenamed Operation Lindon, has produced a highly critical report. It states that the South Yorkshire police were scared to take action against a group of Asian men who were sexually abusing a young girl for fear of triggering unrest in the Asian community and being branded racist. Instead, they did little to disrupt the gang and safeguard the vulnerable victim and other young girls, even though they knew they were being subjected to horrendous sexual abuse."

You can see from the above where some folk might want to make the point that "white lives matter as well"

And people, white or otherwise, have every opportunity and right to get on the street and protest about this.

Imagine being that much of a snow flake that when a Black man in America gets murdered in day light by a cop and because of it the Black lives matter slogan goes global and you are a White person and you get the hump and you have to come with what about us.

And the posh, middle-class London Kids travelled to protest in places like Coventry, Newcastle and Barry. Fair play to them.

Do you have proof of that? Without it, it just sounds the sort of sweeping generalisation that the extremes on either side of the argument feed off.

I think there are a lot of people who perceive that “you can’t say or do anything these days for fear of being called a racist”.

And that in itself can lead to a backlash.

The young white male in a lot of these towns are in a minority themselves.
Where are the stats for that then ?

Even in bradford the asian community is in the minority

Sorry forgot the question mark after Barry.

I was replying to AQM’s post I linked where he stated it was posh London kids doing the protesting. That isn’t my view.

I should be apologising to you because my question was supposed to be to Monkfish for what he said .

    Sorry about that.

It's a generalization true, but yes, different 'classes' certainly. Anyway, seems the police are going after them [ the banner thing]. They've already imprisoned a bloke for having a p*ss NEXT to a statue. Not sure either were illegal but what the hell..

If you are unsure on the legality or otherwise of being prosecuted for urinating in a public place why don't you pop down to the top of Queens St this Saturday and empty your bladder next to Aneurin Bevan's statue? That should sort it out for you.

It's not illegal. The man had his back to the street and was not urinating on a statue, wasn't breaking any law. But they sent him to prison anyway.

You just have to look at the tv coverage bob , in cardiff and barry you had a wide range of people from all backgrounds out supporting the BLM protest

When the english defence league came to cardiff several years back it was a rainbow of colours and classes out to protest against them

It certainly wasnt white middle class university types , that's utter bollocks
