Wasn't there a story that we were interested in signing Gary Lineker at one stage. Possibly Alan Smith too.

NigelBlues (does he still post on here?) said in the Twitter thread that there was a joint £100k swoop for Gary Lineker and Alan Smith from Leicester planned at some point
