So much has been said about PNE being our bogey team that I thought I'd check out the head to heads to see how bad it really was. Surprisingly we're almost neck and neck with them, 36 wins for them and 34 for us.

Perhaps the comments are due to some fearful mailings we've had at Deepdale. Other than the infamous 6-0 thrashing under Dave Jones' stewardship, there are many other instances of us getting hammered, not least a 9-0 tanking in the 60's which I remember all too well !
