Thread: Next transfer window

    Next transfer window

We’re in the unusual position (for us at least) of having a few players we can sell without negatively impacting the team.

Murphy’s race is surely run. Should get a decent price for him.

We don’t need Smithies and Etheridge so surely Etheridge will go.

And maybe we could get a few bob for Flint.

Might give Harris something to play with and I’d back him to bring in the right players.

I think the markets going to be slow, i think we will find it hard to get rid of the likes of Flint and pack.

while fees for players like Murphy and Etheridge wont be whaylt they were.

luckily we have some dead wood out of contract then i think its looking at loans, frees and youth.

to be honest i think thats the way it has to be.

How will the Sala transfer fee process affect our ability to do business?

Im sure Dalman said they have this money ready if needed. At the end of the day if he hadnt have died the club would have needed to pay the fee even with relegation so they must have thought about that.

I agree that we’re probably going to look at the loan market. It’s not turned out too badly so far, has it!
The club would probably accept a reasonable offer for most of the players, but it very much seems like there’s no money to spend.

My post was referring to what I thought was a EUFA ban on our doing any transfer deals until the first installment of the fee was paid. I know its suspended but it may easily be re instated.

Why do some people say EUFA instead of UEFA? Were they ever called EUFA?

With no income from crowds for a very long time then Id say we wont be paying any transfer fees whoever we sell.

Just hope key players dont go.

I can see a lower PL team coming in for Ralls.

Why would Ralls want to leave for a lower PL club when we'll be in the Prem?

I sense that we'd not be paying mcuh in terms of fees even with crowds.

Doesn't crowd revenue contribute very little to the majority of championship clubs overall budgets these days?

Etheridge is the player that we really should sell this summer. He's only got 12 months left on his contract.

I know it was, and it was a genuine answer, I subconsciously put the word European first.

Depends what League we’re in next season but if we stay in Championship,
Etheridge, Bennett or Cunningham, Flint or Bamba, Ward, and possibly Murphy but I’d keep him, all depends if we get right offers for any of them!
If we’re in Premier League,Day would go instead of Etheridge, Bennett and Cunningham kept ,Bamba and Ward go Flint back up for Morrison but keep Murphy.
We obviously need two right backs, Sanderson or Nico Williams on loan with Gunter as back up!

I'm willing to bet Warnock comes in for Flint during the summer and takes him back to 'boro

So can I assume no one knows the answer or that everyone is pretending its not a problem?

    There is no UEFA ban.

Due to appeal to CAS, no ban can start until that's concluded.

Thats what I was asking. When is the appeal due to be heard because of covid?

Ideally as long as it takes to get great products coming out of the academy so any transfer ban wouldn't affect us...
