Listened to it this morning and a bit this evening. It's a good addition to those who like political debate and political phone ins.

The station will be paid for by sponsorship deals - and the deals will presumably be based on the number of listeners.
By the way, Talkradio, Talksport and Virgin Radio are all owned by Murdoch's 'Wireless Group' too.

That was my thought, though it'll do well to be more right wing than Radio 4.

Another right wing channel in the MSM.

Many critics, as well as the former R4 stalwart John Humphreys, accuse the BBC of being too left-wing.

And the need for listeners to hear the adverts will mean they quickly descend to the kind of provocative bullshit you get on talk sport.

No chance me listening to more right wing media.
Started listening to James Obrien on LBC. Decent commentator who actually challenges this awful Tory government.

Humphreys is a horrible tory , couldnt bear listening to him

    Re: New Radio Channel

Probably a right wing bias but there's Ayesha Hazarika, Stig Abel as well as a few former BBC presenters who more than lean to the left.

I've been listening to him on and off for several years. Amazed he's got a decent slot on LBC. Nick Ferrari and Ian Dale are cringeworthy tossers.

I like listening to Adrian Chiles on BBC Radio 5 Live on Fridays and Dotun Adebayo late at night if I can't sleep.

you think but you're a labour activist so we should treat your comments with the same degree of sceptisism. Or shouldn't we?

Why not just treat them as my comment - a view formed over many decades. Other views are available - and you are free to treat them with an equal level of scepticism. If you want.

Stig Abell was Managing Director of the Sun for four years.

You couldn't have heard him reveiewing the papers on Sky TV then. Stig Abel was the editor of the TLS and seemed to relate to Labour student activists. Ayesha Hazarika was political advisor to ED Milliband and introduced various speakers including Corbyn at Labour Party rallies. Hardly Tory credentials.
