    October..back at the CCS?

In England, stadia open after trial events. What about Wales? Implications for STs?

I wonder if they knew about this before the friendly fixture announcement yesterday

What friendly? Cant see any club announcement.
I'm wondering, if Wales follows the England pattern, if the first 5000 to renew STs will be allowed in to home matches as part of the ramp up events? Anyone else renewing gets City TV until full attendance matches are allowed.

The England v Wales games has been announced as behind closed doors.

Iceland host England in September and want to get some fans to watch. Iceland domestic games have around 1,000 people allowed to attend at the moment.

Also in Copenhagen they have 9,000 people allowed into their stadium (it's a 38,000 seat stadium) and they play England in September as well and want to have home fans allowed. Uefa are to decide.

Presumably any re entry will come down to Hull stubs again then? It's the fairest way

Mark Drakeford has just said Wales will wait until England have pilot events with crowds before allowing people back in to stadiums here.

Wales will use the results of the pilot events to prepare for crowds returning here

    I read somewhere 40% capacity.

Can you float around a pub under social distancing rules?

How will Boris assess if the pilot events are successful? Maybe count the infection rate a few weeks later of those who attended?

Possibly late October/early November then by the time Wales catches up with England. Then with ramp up matches at CCS.
Perhaps reduced price STs, CC TV included until crowds return in full and first 5000 ST sales get to go to ramp up matches in October (1000 each for Canton, grandstand, family stand, upper and lower Ninian) might be a way forward.

I wonder if this would force the EFL to delay the start of the season? It would make sense to enable some of those clubs struggling to maximise income.

That might be one way. Mustn't forget that staff need protecting from CV too. Chances are ramp up events will also include how easy it is to socially distance queues getting in to stadia, how effective spreading fans is around the ground and look for any evidence of increase in CV amongst players and officials. The stadium safety officer will have fun writing the risk assessment.

Socially distant queuing to get into the stadium should be easy enough. We've spent the last 4 months practising how to do it. Problem will be if those queuing and attending have been on the beer for hours before the game.

Not sure how busy your local Tesco is Mike but this will be queueing on a vastly different scale. If it's 2m between each person the queue will go back to Canton

    Ha.

Just thought of one positive though everyone can get swabbed in the car park before going in by queuing through the testing booths.

Be good to see them actually being used.

    It really would

However much social distancing you try to implement before entering the stadium you'll still get half the crowd turning up 10 minutes before kick off

Wonder how long the first away day will be, you'd assume there will be no away fans in the first few months worth of games with fans whenever that may be.

There will never have been such a high demand for away tickets when they return as an option. 5000 to Preston on a tuesday night anyone?

With limited capacity. Heard it might be only under 50’s with no underlying conditions initially too......that’s done most of our fan base
