It's not individuals that's the problem, it's legitimate tax avoidance schemes that's the issue. Amazon Google Starbucks, routing monies which ever way they can at the and it's the shareholder greed that's driving it. The best way of getting the proper tax paid is by not using these types of companies and the public must push that themselves. Shopping at independants etc

Generally speaking the people asking to be taxed more will probably end up just giving the money to charity, whereas the others will try and avoid it

I don't think this is virtue signalling as I genuinely believe the people that are asking to be taxed more, genuinely do, but the chances of this changing anything is pretty much zilch.
