    Re: Saturday's Championship Football

Come on Charlton- need to have them out of sight so Hull can’t catch them in the last game of the season

    Re: Saturday's Championship Football

    Currently Charlton 1 - 1 Wigan

As for Cardiff. A win at Middlesbrough coupled with Millwall and Swansea not winning will ensure a play off place today.

We can't be knocked out of a play off challenge today but we don't want to lose the advantage of being the team in 6th place for the final games on Wednesday.

    Re: Saturday's Championship Football

    Luton at Hull
    Cardiff at Boro
    QPR home to Millwall

    25/1 - I've put a tenner on it

They mentioned VAR in the commentary, Jesus, are referees that bad now that technology is mentioned in a situation like that? That was a bread and butter penalty whatever era of football you’re in. Potentially a catastrophe for Brentford financially if things don’t work out for them but it certainly wasn’t due to a lack of modern technology, it was piss poor officiating by both ref and linesman (referee’s assistant, my arse)

Ref wasn’t looking at that area and not sure if official was on other side of field. But was 100% pen

Do refs get told at half time about their **** ups?

You’d hope that as professional officials working as a team, that in a basic set piece situation such as that was, between them they’d have every base covered. It was only one line of players on the edge of the area to keep their eyes on, shocking really at this standard..........and I really want to play West Brom if we make it!!!

    Re: Saturday's Championship Football

Brentford still need a goal. A draw will do them.

    84 mins played

    Stoke 1 - 0 Brentford

    Re: Saturday's Championship Football

come on Brentford, you can do this

  15. #15

    Re: Saturday's Championship Football

They’re going the same way as WBA last night.

    Underestimating the opposition

    Re: Saturday's Championship Football

    Still

    Charlton 1 -2 Wigan

    85 mins.

If Wigan complete the win today they will stay up, even with a 12 point deduction, if Luton and Hull draw today (as they have a way superior goal difference) or at worst they need to get a win or maybe just a draw against Fulham on Wednesday.

    Re: Saturday's Championship Football

    FT Stoke 1 - 0 Brentford

    Re: Saturday's Championship Football

    Charlton 2 - 2 Wigan

    90+3

    Re: Saturday's Championship Football

Well done Stoke. I thought they coped very well with the mighty Brentford. Good game.

    Re: Saturday's Championship Football

    Do I not like Stoke!

  21. #21

    Brentford bottling it ?

1-0 down with 3 mins to go against a distinctly average Stoke side. Perhaps not quite so good as some people like to make out. Benrhama looks lost in midfield. Very nervy and beatable.

That Charlton equaliser changes a bunch of things

    FT 2 - 2

Hull and Luton....everything to play for as they can both catch Wigan. Boro can sleep a bit easier....hopefully from 3.00pm onwards, today.

    Re: Saturday's Championship Football

As it stands, with Wigan due a 12 point deduction, Middlesbrough are safe.

Even if Wigan are taken out of the equation Boro would have to lose both remaining games, see either Luton or Hull win both of their games and for Charlton to win away at Leeds. Also Birmgham would need a point from their two games.

With Luton and Hull playing each other a draw in that match today makes Boro safe as well.

If it was us I'd be convinced we'd be going down. But they should be fine.

    Re: Saturday's Championship Football

    How about this one.

Fulham win both their games. Brentford draw at home next week with Barnsley and WBA lose at home to QPR.

Fulham go up in 2nd place.
