I suspect that's why they've brought in an expert PL ref, expecting that will be our intention, to ensure that doesn't happen.

We definitely need to rough them up a bit, as they tried with us in the first quarter in the 1st leg, and pray that the officials don't fall for their diving and "showmanship" à la Swansea.

I'd go with Pato up top initially too.

We need to score at least two goals. That's not going to happen with Paterson starting. Fulham have already shown that they can't be bullied. Quite the opposite in fact.

Some of our fans are really stuck in the 70s aren’t they

I think he was on a wind up with the post IMO.

If he does then Harris goes back a step my book, and my recent praise of him.
He's on to something with the way he's got us playing. Stick at it.

I would keep him for next season on the understanding that he is a virtual permanent sub. Useful to come on in 3-4 positions but should never start.
If he does we are not much better than Newport County

I don't dislike him as a player or a person, just despise him as a striker. He's awful there. But Warnock the dinosaur played him there so he must have something about him..

He's probably worth keeping as a sub definitely, probably great to have around the place as well with a good attitude etc but he should never start as a striker while we have other fit forwards at the club. If put a winger up top if we had an injury crisis rather than Pato tbh.

to be honest its not a bad idea, that's how we started our run , we didn't show all our cards , and then we put our better players on later and it seemed to work ??

I suggest you watch the last two games we played against Fulham

No, he's deadly serious. As 'Llandaff Blue' said, some of our fans are stuck in the 70's!
Fulham's defenders have already shown that they're fit, strong and athletic - they won't be bullied.

Sorry, I know this is probably a ridiculous idea, but could we consider Paterson in the position where he has won most of his international caps?

Funny how no-one's thought of that. We're crying out for a right-back and here we have one with international caps.

That's not a bad shout at all.
I know Warnock was very dismissive of him in that position, but Warnock tends to have very specific things he looks for.

He can still get into the box and be a nuisance at set pieces as well.

I'm sure that has been explored. It's interesting that Warnock bought him but thought he'd be better in an attacking sense. Given how well Bacuna has done for us in midfield (and I reckon has been missed there), surely the possibility of Paterson at right back has been explored, and ultimately, dismissed?

I just hope we give it a good go, don’t start slowly, if we do and they get a goal early then it’s 70 minute dead rubber and a massive disappointment
