How often should you change your tablet ?

I have a Samsung galaxy tab a and I am really pleased with it but I have had it 18 months now . When should I be looking to upgrade and what signs do I need to look for to suggest its on its ars3 ?

Also how do I change the size of the letters and symbols and general set up of the screen ? It seems to have shrunk ?

    Cheers

I have got an iPad4 (32GB) - got it in early March 2013. WiFi only.

It is still going strong - although has started to freeze about once a month so I have to reboot it. Also maxed out on memory very early so can't sync photos any more and have had to delete some apps if I want to load any new.

It always goes on holiday with me.

Thought I might look at upgrading sometime around mid 2023.

I think Samsung recommend upgrading as soon as a new version comes out..

There'll be a 'settings' tab somewhere. Usually looks like a cog wheel. Click on that and look for text/font or display settings.

If your getting any performance issues with the galaxy tab you could try a "hard" restart

Hold the power button and volume down button for 7 seconds.

This will perform a complete reboot and clear anything in memory.

    No they will be kept.

If you did want to start again there will be a factory reset option buried in the menus somewhere.

I have an old sammy tab 4 about six years old. It is disgustingly slow with websites and is even laggy with some app games. I would like to buy a new one but they dont seem have come very far.

My IPad is coming up to eleven years old now I believe and the battery is finally showing signs of packing up. It's also pretty slow, but not so bad as to make me think of getting a replacement - the thing that I feel will make me do that. is the increasing number of modern day apps for which it is obsolete.

I thought you were a critical thinker

Samsung would say that- it's how Apple have made a fortune. "Look at this iphone, it is brilliant". Next iphone comes out "You must upgrade, that last iphone wasn't all that good to be honest".

If it works, and does what you need, keep it. Absolutely no need to replace just because a new version comes out.

    Oh yes.

    Ariel, gets your whites white.

New Ariel, better than the old Ariel - they'd then show the old Ariel being really shit.

Photos end up taking up huge amounts of space. My Mrs had 12000 of which over half were repeats/retakes or ones of the floor. Delete them as they are often between 4 and 12 MB each when watching mindless repeats on tv or the cricket.
