An old brickie used to say to me 'As long as you've got a hole in your arse, then you can paint' or words to those affect. Let's just hope Sanderson has a hole in his arse or he could be in trouble.

After Sanderson's initial spell Harris didn't feel the need to pick him in favour of a central midfielder playing in his least favoured position.
What we want on here and what Harris wants and does are two different things.
    It was a general opinion.

Did I need to add something like "we could have signed a prime R9 and some would find fault" for it not to be aimed at you?

Cardiff fans in general would find fault with anyone we signed in any position.

    I'll let that be it.

I think he could improve definitely. You don't become a bad player overnight.
If Harris feels he can and he comes back then I'd give him my full backing as well as have faith in Harris to get the most from him.

He looked a decent enough player but looked a bit lax at times. I like my defenders to be decent defenders before being your swashbuckling full back charging forward. I think he has a bit to go in that regard.
I think the fact he was being linked with other PL clubs coming in for him made me kind of judge him by those standards and I certainly didn't see it. I don't think he is at that level (starting for a PL club).

Is that for the brush ?

It was a comment about City fans. I am one who commented that he wouldn't be my choice.

    That's about it really.

Like a porn show on site in those days, you’d ask a labourer for something and you’d get the sarky remark ‘Stick a brush up my arse and I’ll sweep the floor as well’. Dear God, imagine health and safety nowadays.... ‘Oi, you two get your pants back on and get off site!’.

This might explain why a PL club has loaned him to a Championship club...

Harris probably stopped picking him because after the Fulham game, his confidence may have taken a dip and there were some key games, so Bacuna got the nod.

At that point Cardiff were more important than a single players development, we needed to make changes to get results.

Maybe another part of it was also to protect the lad, it looks like he's been hooked but behind the scenes we don't know the conversation that was had or how Harris explained it to him, I doubt it was "****ing hell lad you've had a shocker, go sit on the bench eh"

He's supposed to be a centre half who can play full back. He looks more like a winger who needs to learn to defend. I've no problem with him getting forward, it's a strong part of his game but he's got a lot to learn as a full back.

Let's be honest here, if Harris thinks he can get a half-decent full back on loan (ie. at no cost), then he's probably going to go for it. His player budget is most likely very small (maybe even non-existent), and so he's going to want to save money wherever he can. Sanderson was okay - he started well, and looked good with Adomah in front of him, but faded away once his partner had left. That looks like a lack of understanding to me, and is something that can be worked on. I'd put money on him coming back here.

At this point in time I would rather take even Peltier over Sanderson. While Sanderson is young and has potential that is of little consequence to us as we will only be developing him. As soon as he improves he will be off. Even Gunter would be a better option. But there must be better options than any of those mentioned out there.

Yes good point about Adomah, maybe he was covering Sanderson more than appeared or maybe Sanderson just suffered with a bit of fatigue but agree I think we’ll see him back next season

I would have Sanderson back, certainly ahead of Gunter.
Gunter is into his 30s, and probably expecting a big wage and a couple of years contract, and he only made 20 appearances last season in a very average Reading side.
We desperately need some youth in the side, or next summer and the summer after are going to become even more dfficult

I’d take Gunter over Sanderson. Sanderson can’t defend and constantly gives the ball away. One year deal for Chris, he can play on both sides and we can sign a first choice right back.

However, other right backs are available and I’d prefer them!

I agree we need youth but our youth and not a youth on loan. My message which you quote indicated I would Have Peltier or Gunter over Sanderson but that there must be better options out there than either Peltier or Gunter.
