Yes, I did. That's another of my favourites. It was a toss up whether I chose that one or the one I did. I only selected, 'Dolphins,' because Ian Wallace was on drums. As far as I'm concerned, 'Song to the Siren,' is one of the most beautifully crafted songs ever. Ta for posting.

    Here's another beaut:

Here's the first part of a lovely documentary about the man himself: 'Tim Buckley: The Man and His Music.'

Re: Haunting Voice , Fantastic Guitars, Jeff Buckley

I think Jeff Buckley met his dad Tim Buckley only once, two months before Tim died in June 1975 of an overdose of heroin and morphine.

Although Jeff flatly rejected any comparisons to his dad there were a lot of similarities between them. They looked like each other, had these amazing haunting voices and had a similar approach to making music, writing songs that broke free of convention. Both died young, they were sensitive souls, probably too sensitive for this world.

On this track Tim's vocal range is astonishing.

I saw them as Budgie's support band around 1972 in Barry Memorial Hall. They struck me as pale imitations of bands that preceded them in their genre. I almost demanded my 50p entrance back.

You were clearly misguided as they went on to become one of the most influential metal bands of all time

Well I saw many of the most influential heavy metal bands of the day and I have never come across comments that Judas Priest were more influential than the bands that probably influenced them in the first place. Tell me more from your perspective, Monsieur Factory.
