    James Chester

signs for Stoke city on a perm deal

no doubt his wages would be huge but liked to have signed him playing along side Morrisson

I like him, but I think he is on the wane. Didn't really kick on from a few years ago.

He's 31 and has a chronic knee injury.

I want to remember James Chester from Euro 2016 - not spoil the memories by seeing him line up for us.

A superb player for Wales with Ashley Williams at centre back but not what we need at the moment! We have enough experienced players, we want some youngsters with energy and pace!

I'm happy with Nelson and Morrison, if we have move on Flint be nice to hey someone younger on the bench.

    This. Big time.

We need a core group of players that are in their mid-twenties.

I heard Joe Rodon's desperate to come here and is thinking of putting in a transfer request

Hmm some interesting responses regarding age on here when you consider Flint is 31 and Bamba is going on 36 with a dodgy knee also

To me Chester would be a perfect signing when you look at the options above

as our track record is next to zilch to bring young players through I won't hold too much hope of anything changing in that direction anytime soon . Correct me if i,m wrong but think Ben Nugent was the last young centre half to come through our academy to first team football and that was 2012 !

i wonder where he is now ?. stevenage the last time i looked i think
