When one poster over the last few days was quick to snap at me, xsnaggle and matt as part of an ongoing policy of prompting a row deliberately with specific posters while at the same time fishing in a larger pond to be argumentative for the sake of it.

Which is a shame because for a lot of the time they can stimulate a reasoned thread. Nowt as strange as folk

Oh, is this because someone challenged you when you said we should get back to normal, like the French? That doesn't seem like being "argumentative for the sake of it", that is someone pointing out that following France is probably not a great idea.

With regards to matt, well I think at least two (one being me) people pointed out that he was gloating recently when he said he had "£10k burning a hole in his pocket". Maybe, if you were someone who had seen roughly a 35% pay cut (with no Government help) in recent months you'd be liable to snap too.

As for xsnaggle, he constantly posts misinformation or waving smilies, so if pointing out that there are inaccuracies in what he posted is snapping, then maybe the only "reasoned threads" are the ones where the "argumentative poster" doesn't disagree with mods. Which smells an awful lot like sour grapes to me.
