Our Carabao Cup fixture away at Northampton is on Saturday 5th September at 3pm.

One week before the start of the League season.

That weekend is also a full blown international weekend with the start of the Nations League.

Wales are playing away in Finland on Thursday 3rd September and at home to Bulgaria at CCS on Sunday 6th September.

I can't see many clubs wanting to take the extra games in this competition this season, but I like the idea of the first round taking place the week before the season starts. They do a similar thing in Scotland. I hope they keep it like that when things get back to normal.
