interesting line up.
I wonder if bamba will push into midfield
Playing wing backs?
WOL calling the formation 5-3-2 so is one of Hoilett or Murphy playing up with Glatzel?
Interesting who is missing from the bench as much as who is there - no Mark Harris, no Gavin Whyte, no Mendez.
WOL now saying 5-4-1
Where's Moore? Is he injured?
This really is the epitome of a preseason game
1-0. Excellent volley from about 25 yards by Bacuna when he hit a punch out by the keeper first time.
the updates on the crdiff twitter page seem like we are well on top.
I don't know why I don't just watch it the amount of work i'm getting done
Murphy seems to be taking up quite a strange position for me
Sometimes striker sometimes wing sometimes 10.
I don’t know if our shape is changing constantly because of it just being a preseason game but it does seem quite fluid
We're doing some of this "passing" people keep going on about
Typical pre season stuff with City even looking to split centre backs to take short goal kicks as part of the new playing out from the back philosophy before thinking better of it and knocking it up to a generally isolated Glatzel.
Weird formation which I can't really categorise with Nelson pushing up on the right well beyond Morrison and Bamba, while Osei Tutu, who has done well so far, plays more like a winger.
There was a superb attempt by Murphy from sixty yards which looked to have beaten the goalkeeper but either just grazed the crossbar or landed on top of the net. That was just before the goal from Bacuna who caught a volley just right from twenty five yards after the keeper had punched clear a Pack free kick.
Glatzel and Morrison have forced saves from the keeper, while City got in a mess early on when Smithies missed his kick out near the touchline, but we had the bodies back to deal with the resultant cross and there was a shot from the edge of the penalty area not too far over from Cheltenham, but that's about it as far as their attacks go.
This eleven do not seem best suited for the way that City are trying to play because the players generally strike me as being too far apart which means too many passes of fifteen yards or more are having to be played, but I'm not going to be too critical because it is a non competitive match and the way we are trying to play is quite a change from what most of this team are used to.
Sang on for Osei-Tutu at half time.
1-1. Excellent finish, sloppy pass from Bamba
Mistake by Bamba - 1-1.
Sang looks decent
Is that martyn Margetsons son on the bench
