In my experience racism and chanting of a sexual nature at football games is vastly reduced from what it was in the 1980’s and 90’s and football games are a much more enjoyable experience as a result. No doubt there is more to do to get rid of it totally but the situation is nowhere near as bad as the media and organisations such as kick it out like to portray. What does go on is unfortunately a reflection of society as a whole and illustrates the way in which sad, cowardly people nowadays use social media as a way of hiding their identity to cover their tracks and spout their bile/hate anonymously. This type of thing is not just a football issue.
