    I liked what I saw of him tonight. He worked hard, he was a good outlet for the team both on the floor and in the air and with a different ref could have bagged himself a couple of goals.

    He is most definitely a step up from Madine and I've a hunch he'll hit about 15 league goals this season. Well pleased with this acquisition.

    Peter Thorne went through a bit of a goal drought with us - but he set up a lot of Ernie's chances.
    Ernie wouldn't have scored so many goals without PT.

    Yeah but after his winning goal v the wurzels in the home leg of the playoffs, he became a legend.....been trying to find that goal online to no avail....what a day that was

    Thorne was a class act at third Division level and then showed he could do it in what's become the Championship as well - we were a much better team when he played well.

    Thorne was a very good league 1 player.

    Not a top end Championship player.

    One of a number of players we went and spent over the odds for.

    I wonder what would have happened if wed lost that final. We should have gone up automatically with the money wed been splashing out
