They're already lining him up. The Times, The Telegraph and the FT already singing from the same song sheet and praising Sunak. The economy continues to tank which results in job losses then he'll be coming in for criticism.

Boris was always the Brexit chimp and even the Tories who knew what a colossal waste of spunk he is didn't think he'd be this incompetent.

Boris campaigned on basis of his conservative party being a completely separate party to one of austerity, the next leader will have to do so on basis of being completely different party to one which caused confusion and heartache through covid. They'll also want to pin negative aspects of Brexit on Boris too so will have to wait unless Johnson stands down early. Will it work? Probably.

I think Boris will be gone once Brexit is done .

Next election will be Tory Small Part Socialists v Labour Lite Middle Ground Tory .

Labour as a last resort might do a dance number with SNP to throw a spanner in the works as Indy Ref 2 conversations appear to get a swerve from Sir Kier, never quite rules it out .

Entirely understandable ‘he maybe not be 100% up to speed’ as neither was his boy

**** me what a gene pool.

I wonder where he’s been whilst abroad?

It looks like he left having managed to buy his newspaper. The shop assistant was also to blame in serving him. Wouldn't it have made a better headline: "Stanley Johnson told to leave newspaper shop by shop assistant for refusing to wear a face mask"?

All the same , all breaking the rule , all not abiding by rule of law or advise , suppose some we ignore ,some we don't, you will find they all apologised still all wrong .

All hypocrites and some paid with their jobs but when you say that all those high profile political figures who have broken the rules have apologised that's not true is it,,,,unless you can point to where the rule breaker in chief, Dominic Cummings, still in a job, has ever apologised for his actions?

You'd swear those on here who are anti the Conservative party are constantly making out that people in others parties are perfectly behaved and we rush to the defence of those tiny number of non tory's who do get caught breaking the rules. On the contrary, my experience is that the left wing leaning people are quick to criticise "their own" if they are guilty of any wrongdoing, so pointing out what Corbyn and that SNP MP did does not really work as a way of evening up the score so to speak.

If Corbyn had won the election in December and was currently Prime Minister what he did would be a huge story, but as it is, he's just another bit part player who did wrong - if the authorities decide to take it further, I would have no sympathy for him. As for Margaret Ferrier, that seems a much worse offence to me as she travelled on a train knowing she had tested positive for Covid, I'd say she should give serious consideration to resigning her seat - I'd probably be an SNP voter if I was a Scot, but there's no way I'd vote for her if I lived in her constituency and she had the gall to stand for re election.

She's not the first who has crossed the line Dr Catherine Calderwood ,Scotland's chief medical officer was one as was Professor Neil Ferguson scientific advisor and Stephen Kinnock, plus of course the evil Dominic

So, what's your point? One difference I can see between all of the cases and Cummings' is that all of them admitted doing wrong and apologised with two of them subsequently resigning (I think Margaret Ferrier will end up doing that as well), Cummings has done none of these things and continues to be one of the most important and influential people in this Government of none of the talents.

You're right Cummings should have apologised, and resigned, however after that outpouring you'd think the folk I listed would have known better, as they too have due responsibility, one of them was highly outspoken about Cummings , so my point is they all were all happy to break the law and ( risk lives )

Cummings wasn't Covid positive either or shagging his girlfriend

Cummings had symptoms. His wife had symptoms. His son had symptoms. Only his son was tested (negative).

Ferguson did not resign because he was 'shagging his girlfriend' but because he broke lock down rules - and was found out. If he had gone around for a cup of tea and to finish the crossword the breach of rules would have been the same.
