Definitely wouldn't be surprised to see him at another club this season, possibly on loan.

oof the last line of that article

"the defender has made 9 appearances for the bluebirds since his £4 million move from Preston"

    that's more than 400k a game

much more a Warnock style fullback than Bennett, which speaks volumes about how well Bennett did to win Warnock over

A lad at school in Cardiff, whose name was Maurice Cunningham, was known as Austin Slybacon. Factual, I assure you.

I appreciate buying and selling footballers is subject to speculation and subjective assessment, but is it my imagination or do we seem to have more than our fair share of 'bad' financial deals at the club ? It should at least balance out over a period of seasons, but for the life of me I can't think of anyone except Zohore who's made the club money..

    Ramsey?

If he's fit, we should hold on to him. Unless he's on some sort of mega-salary...

Unless the player is desperate to leave I think its a non starter.Harris has said he wants two in this position and he's well capable of keeping out Bennett should he get the chance.Would mean we'd have to sign another.

At the club today there are only a handful of players who could conceivably be sold for any kind of money if they have an excellent season.
Most of the squad is decent enough, but on the old side and on short contracts. there isn't much room for any upside in terms of value even if those individuals have a good season.
This is part of the reason that managers like Warnock / Mourihnio etc who put everything into winning now - and very little thought into what comes next, inevitably run out of steam.

We needed a left back, and Cunningham is clearly very good. I think while he hasn't played much that's a tad harsh.

Brad Smith is still a free agent. Tom Sang is the one Harris has gone out of his way to praise of the young lads.

Could we consider signing the Israeli full back Joel Bagel as a 'fill in '

Bagan is 19 and went on loan to a National League club last season. That's a big step up to the Championship.
