Thread: The Bulger Murder

    The Bulger Murder

just watched a programme containing unseen police interviews , interviews with the killers themselves and forensic psychiatrists

Those lads were guilty of a horrific crime and one of them still has very worrying tendencies, they have to be watched till they die

But whats clear is they have dreadful backgrounds . They would leave the house in the morning before their families would get up and stay out until they had gone to bed . They were part of a feral gang that lived on the streets of inner city liverpool , spending all day shoplifting food and robbing from handbags to have enough money to buy coffee and stay out of the cold . And stay away from home.

The forensic psychiatrist said these lads , who were only 7 when they became street kids , were not going home till everyone was asleep and staying out all day because they were afraid of what was happening at home .

    They were being abused .

The mind is a very complex thing and what those kids went through as youngsters must have been horrific and turned them into monsters .

Not all kids abused go onto abuse or kill others, especially at such a young age but it certainly messed up those two .

Jamie Bulger , poor little kid , what a nightmare for his family

How does a mother recover from that ?

Complex case for sure mate. On the one hand you are devestated for the family of James and see them as murdering animals but they were a product of their environment too. Really sad to see one young life ended and two others ruined for ever by their one decision.

Easy to take a measured view looking in though. If I were James Bulger's father I'd want them both hung on the spot.

In every case like this, especially when children commit serious crimes, they always seem to have had an extremely harsh childhood.

If you abuse and neglect a dog, and it turns savage and attacks someone then you'd be held responsible as well.
The same should apply to children.

The right conditions could probably turn any child into a monster.

I think all four parents of the two little horrors, needed stringing up too. Seems they got off very lightly for the way their two charming boys turned out

Thompson had an extremely harsh childhood by the sounds of it, but Venables, apart the fact his parents were separated, had a normal childhood. Lived with both parents part of the week. Certainly wasnt a neglected child.

Either way, there is still no excuse for what they did to that poor toddler. Wether it was learned behaviour or not it was absolutely evil.
