    On Smithsonian channel. Narrated by Bill Pullman, filmed in Yellowstone Park.

    That is a fascinating channel , watching it you realise that America is a huge complicated beast , it has so much wilderness , so many different people , varied landscapes , some single states economies are the size of a lot of countries , how they manged to become what they are is just remarkable ..

    California has a bigger economy than the UK.

    California, Texas and New York are in the top 15 biggest economies in the world. Crazy.

    Nebraska, where I live, is the size of Great Britain, with a population less than two-thirds that of Wales.

    Mighty New York City occupies about 1 percent of the land in New York State.

    Yes, it's a big place.
