Interesting as all meat in supermarkets are now metric. Imperial measurements haven't been taught in schools for over 30 years and so it'll only be tradition keeping them going.

If you look at the meat in Tescos for example you will see that it is marked in weights of Lbs oz and kilos, grammes.
But go to a local butcher, support the one in your community, and you can ask for 1 1/2 ld of something for example and the price is maked in price /pound and kilo

Chippies still refer to mails in inches Road signs are in miles and the count down signs for turn off from duel carriageways and motorways are in yards.
Barrels are measured in Gallons whether oil or beer.

Absolutely definitely we stopped using metric 30 years ago. That's why the probably don't teach it any more.

I thought that food stuffs had to be sold in metric units (other than some exceptions like some alcohol), but it doesn't mean that sellers cant advertise the imperial equivalent at the same time.
