£20k a week which isn’t a huge amount over here works out at circa €22k a week or €1.1m a year

Very simplistic as tax/bonuses etc but surely we can get a few good players for that amount looking at that list.

I think from memory ab average - good championship side will probably have a wage bill of around £25 - 30 million per year.

We presumably paid up a big chunk of his wages when he went back to Denmark.

Last season he scored 12 goals and 4 assists in just over 16 games worth of playing time for Parma in Serie A.
Needless to say that none of the strikers we've had since have gone on to achieve anything like that.
