In NI the bomb disposal guys (Felix) were issued with free phone cards (Before mobile phones) so that every time a bomb went off they could phone their family to say, "It's OK it wasn't me!
The problem I see with that is what about the poor woman who doesn't get a phone call?

I think you have to be a "different" kind of person, introverted perhaps, almost weird.
In fact, speak to those involved, nobody without exception is ever keen on "having a blast"
Reminds me of a film I saw recently which I hadn't heard of but enjoyed. Called "land of mine" about a group of German POW's forced to dig up mines on a beach in Denmark with their hands. A good watch.

My Grandad used to work for a bomb disposal squad. Only problem was it took him 6 hrs to open his Christmas presents!
