Surely common sense would say that even if it's only 1000 spread out around the ground that's better than 100 sat inside, economically as well as safer. Games I've watched still have stewards dotted around the ground anyway.

Different governments need to explain what their issue is because we know sitting inside is worse than sitting outside. Stunts like these seem to be being used to push for that but risk undermining whole message rather than focusing on part that doesn't make sense.

If this shows the government imposed rules to be as ridiculous as they are and gets fans in to stadiums quicker then I'm all for it.

I'd go as far as saying City are missing a trick themselves by not doing it.
