    RB cover: Free agents

Do you think Harris will dip into the free agent pool to bring in cover we desperately need at right back? Surprisingly there’s a fair few decent players out there.

Thank feck NW has gone or he'd be back on a 5 year deal.

People want youth to have a chance so Bagan.

Should be given a chance at LB but RB we only have Bacuna as cover which is worrying

Yeah agree about right back, I was responding to the comment above.

I'm amazed we haven't brought in a right back.

Pleased with recruitment but it’s such a glaringly obvious area we needed to add depth and we haven’t. It’s bizarre

I think they think Bacuna can do a job there and we have focussed on other areas. I don't think any of the players we've added are luxuries, bar Phillips, who I'd argue was needed.

Doing a job there but at a stretch, Harris accepted himself we needed another RB and hasn’t done anything about it.

The full back problem is a clear concern but I can’t see that Harris hasn’t tried to do anything. He must have a plan. Mustn’t he?

Not too many on that list.

Kieron Freeman -to add another welsh international, but hasn't played much at all in the last couple of years, and was unable to displace Chris Gunter from the Welsh team

Jon Flanagan - Apparently once had a full England cap, which seems remarkable now given their depth at right back. Most recently was a bit part player at Rangers

Julian Korb - A german I know basically nothing about other than the fact he's played in the champions league.

Most of the rest are too old.

So long as we can agree a 1 year contract as we did with some of our other free agents it may work out whatever the age

Do agree Bagan should be given a crack though

Surprised no ones picked up Janmatt mind, how bad is his injury

Looks like he's missed a whole year with a knee injury pretty much

I'd offer Adam Matthews a short term contract with the option to extend if he impresses - granted they were relegated, but he was doing well for Charlton last season when I saw him play.

That’s a good shout. I thought he was with Charlton though. Personally I think we should have gone for Gunter but we missed out there.

He's a free agent according to Wikipedia.

Gunter ended up signing a 2 year deal with an option of a third.
How much do we think he'll actually play during those 2-3 years?

In the last 2 seasons he made around 20 appearances each season. I’d wager he will make around 30 for Charlton this season. Plus his ability to cover left back as well. International player on a free transfer.

Are we only allowed to sign free agents who have already played for us?

Potential use of Bagan or move Nelson over to RB and bring in Benkovic to partner Morrison.

Bagan would probably be the best fit since that is his position ?
