Re: CARDIFF CITY v AFC BOURNEMOUTH: Match thread

As there is no attendance allowed why do they bother to make kick off 7.45?

7 O'Clock would be just as good wouldn't it? I could listen to it uninterrupted in work and on my way home then.

I honestly think the club are being selfish not scheduling kick off times to suit you.

Pack? He had a decent game at Preston. Bound to start if fit. Bacuna would be unlucky to lose out as well. Think he will start as right back as I doubt TuTu will be fit. Same with Bennett. Bagan may very well have his debut.
Tomlin? Where does he fit in?

This'll be a tough game, on paper they have about the best squad in the league

Thankfully football is played on grass not paper

Think the two full backs will be good to go.
Prefer Vaulks in a midfield 3 if we're starting an effective no.10 in Wilson as he is far, far more mobile than Pack.
Tomlin fits in around the 65th minute. I don't see him starting many games as long as Wilson is fit.

4-3-3 is pretty bold, we'd get overrun in midfield.
Also, I'd play Tutu right back and Bennett (8f fit) LB where he normally plays

But that's exactly what they are expecting us to do!

Re: CARDIFF CITY v AFC BOURNEMOUTH: Match thread

If Bennett & Cunningham are out, I imagine Bagan will slot in? I dread to think what would happen if Osei-Tutu's out so I'm going to pretend he isn't

    Smithies

    Osei-Tutu
    Morrison
    Nelson
    Bagan

    Vaulks
    Ralls

    Ojo
    Wilson
    Murphy

    Moore

I imagine Bournemouth will dominate possession so the more combative Vaulks is in for Pack. A lot of pace on the counter in Ojo, Wilson and Murphy

I'm pretty sure that Hoilett will play on the left wing if Bagan starts at left-back.

Bit nervous about next 2 games. Could have a big influence on our season.
As we can ignore home advantage I just hope that we can scrape a draw v Bournemouth before Warnock comes on Saturday to turn us over.
    0-0 -City v Bournemouth

Got a feeling Bacuna will play at left-back with Bagan on the bench.

    Smithies

    Osei-Tutu (if fit)
    Morrison
    Nelson
    Bacuna

    Pack
    Ralls
    Vaulks

    Wilson
    Ojo
    Moore

    Thoughts?

Re: CARDIFF CITY v AFC BOURNEMOUTH: Match thread

    I think it'll be:

    Smithies

    Osei-tutu Morrison Nelson Bennett

    Ralls Vaulks

    Ojo Wilson Hoilett

    Moore

With Bacuna or Bagan coming in if the fullbacks don't pass a fitness test.

I'd like to see Murphy involved as well, plus any other youngsters on the fringes (harris? D'almeida?) on the bench at least so if the game allows it we at least have the option of giving them a run out.

    Bench

Phillips, Murphy, benkovic, bacuna, Bagan, Harris, Tomlin
