Thread: Steve Morrison.....

    Steve Morrison.....

....please don’t ever use him as a commentator again. He was awful.

Every free kick to Middlesborough was never a free kick, the bookings were never bookings.

We’re all biased watching a team we support, but listening to him for 90 minutes was terrible.

Of course, when we had any 50/50 decisions or ones that went our way wrongly, he didn’t say a thing.

Throw in he was calling the players...Mozzer, Sav, Murph, Glats...

Yes, yes.... but what about his accent?

Greg Cunningham was like Kenneth Wolstenholme compared to him

Thankfully, I never heard him in midweek as I watched the game on SKY.

The City TV commentary is shocking.

The main commentator talks as if he’s on Prozac.

Today when Glatzel came on, he said the ‘The German coming off a very impressive performance mid-week.’

A game where he stank the place out and never looked like scoring, just like today.

    11 games and counting now.

he did well in both games, were you actually watching them?

    Re: Steve Morrison.....

Steve Morrison could see things developing more quickly and clearly wanted Bagan to do well, which was nice, but he was biased in his comments. Don't think we'll hear him again soon

Regular commentator is generally quite good and Glatzel did play well midweek, as he did again today. It's worth noting that both Cunningham (he's always doing extra training) and Morrison (he's the best finisher in training) are talking Glatzel up.

Trolls don't need to watch games, just be randomly negative.

We played a lot better when Glatzel was on the pitch today.

He’s a centre forward, who never looked like scoring in either game.

That’s 11 games now and counting.

His job is to do his stuff in the box, where he is totally ineffective, as he’s like a baby giraffe.

If doing well for a centre forward is holding the ball up 30 yards from goal and laying it off, god help us.

    He is shocking.

Do stuff in the box like the assist for our equaliser?

    Re: Steve Morrison.....

None of our centre forwards look like scoring, Moore messed a couple of chances up today and as much as I want to like him I'm feeling overall he's not the massive improvement over Glatzel some on here would have you believe.

Ultimately we just don't create enough to ever look like scoring much. Same for a number of years now.

I guess if you wake up in the morning with your "Poundland Warnock" speech at the ready only to find that Warnock is still to better Harris in four matches then you have to go looking for secondary targets for your Saturday Night Troll. Steve Morrison and Glatzel seem to be the chosen ones.

Off topic, what’s your take on Firmino?

A striker that doesn’t really score

Warnock and Harris shouldn’t even be mentioned in the same breath, at this level.

This team is going nowhere under, Harris.

For a team that alleges to want promotion to the Premier league to then appoint such an awful limited manager, is mystifying.

We haven’t played well in a single game, this season.

Some on here said he was ‘evolving the style’, yet the football is dire, boring and far less entertaining than under Warnock.

The team don’t look organised, motivated, or have any sort of structure. There are some decent players in this squad, but he isn’t bringing the best out of them.

This looks like a squad that should be top six, but performing like an average mid table side.

How come sides with squads as limited as Millwall, and Swansea who keeping selling their best players, are above us.

    Because they have better coaches.

You only have to listen to Harris talk and watch the team, to see he’s a chancer who’s been lucky enough to have blagged a decent job, where he’s nowhere near good enough to achieve the club’s stated ambition.

Let’s not forget, we appointed him after he was sacked by Millwall.

When I watch City I want someone agreeing with me. Morrison therefore did a good job on the mike.

The team was going nowhere under warnock that's why he buggered off he was out of his depth last going off. Boro will do ok this season under him then they will give him a cheque book and he will buy players he doesn't need and leave them back where they were before he arrived. Just with a bigger debt and players on silly contracts and wages But it won't be his fault

    Re: Steve Morrison.....

I thought Morison did alright, he's employed by the club, mates with the manager and commentating on city TV, of course he will be biased.

I quite like they have mixed it up, current player on last week now ex pro that's in the city set up.

I thought he was OK. What I didn't think was though, was the commentary was a second or so in front of the stream. "what a goal" or something, just as the player was about to shoot..

    Re: Steve Morrison.....

I quite liked him. He couldn’t be that biased on sky or bt, but he wasn’t on those channels. It’s Cardiff City player!!

Bluebird23 is getting a bit boring.

Steve Cooper, a better coach ? What the hell are you taking. Harris left Millwall because he had been there a while (over four years), taken them as far as he could on their resources and wanted a job at a bigger club. The decision to leave them was his, so he wasn’t ‘sacked‘ as you state. He is also very highly regarded as a coach by people around the game who actually know something about football, which explains your attitude towards him totally.

To be fair, he left before he was sacked. Winless in 7 games and in 18th place in the league.

The guy was sacked, but as a long term per at the club it went down as a ‘mutual consent.’

Your comment he left for a bigger club is laughable.

How many managers with a poor CV, leave their job with the team heading towards relegation fir a ‘bigger jib’ lol.

    You should do stand up.

The Millwall supporters couldn’t wait to get shot if him, as the football was boring.

Rowatt has transformed them, on very limited resources.

Plus, Cooper has done amazing after having to sell all the better players and no money to spend.

Spot on, his post was laughable.

‘He left fir a bigger club’ lol

Just as he was guiding Millwall to relegation.
