    Power to the people :

Ministers are to review rules on sales of non-essential items that have been criticised in a petition signed by more than 60,000 people.
Supermarkets have been told to close parts of their stores that sell items such as clothes, bedding and toys during Wales' firebreak lockdown.
First Minister Mark Drakeford said implementation of the rule may be tweaked, but it would not be reversed.
The petition is now the largest ever submitted to the Senedd.

He has just given people an excuse to kick back, no one really cares whether they are taped off or not, what we are seeing is people saying he can't tell me what to do/buy, and other people saying yes he can it's for our own good, basically a battle between rule followers and rule-breakers or people who have had enough.

Basically a battle between people who accept this is shit but a hand brake needs applying to stop the virus spreading and it may only be for a few weeks

Indeed. What Drakeford and Co have done in this particular instance is brought in a measure that appears petty and will have no practical benefit whatsoever, but will instead cause unnecessary irritation and confusion, and will deflect attention from the most important message, which should be to stay out of other people's houses for a few weeks.

It's looking like a big con. The Senedd petitions website says that this petition will be discussed by the Petitions committee for debate in the Senedd once all signatures are in by the deadline of 23 April 2021....only six months to go before it can be discussed.

Hot News: Several small boats full of refugees have been seen landing on the beach at Weston-Super-Mare.

The police have rounded them up and sent them back to Wales

And we have homelessness out of control, NHS workers offered a duff deal on pay and conditions, education failing kids in the poorest communities, services slashed and a huge loss of funding to Wales due to leaving the EU, yet someone can't buy some tealight candles for a fortnight and there's ****ing Meltdown. The biggest petition ever submitted to the senedd you say? Yup, Power to the people and no delay!
