One change you would like to see in football ⚽️

For me I would like to see no transfer windows apart from the summer window then the squad you have is the squad you play with for the season, say 20 man squad, then if you have injuries suspensions you bring in from your youth squad.
Plus what ever manager you have in charge at the start of the season is your manager until the end of the season. Unless ill health or worse stops them managing 👍

Allow clubs to retain thier youth players longer by postcode catchment up to the age ( ie 18 ) , and create a compensation levy system on all transfers effecting that player career , seeing values returned to thier parent club to protect its academies ,
no matter how many transfers take place .

Premiership clubs can only loan out 2 players per season.

Premiership clubs to only be allowed to have thirty players over the age of, say, 21. No having sixty odd players on the books, twenty odd out on loan all over Europe. Players who’d be easily good enough to get into other clubs in the same division’s first teams but are denied the chance because their current club don’t want them hurting them. The quality would then filter down through the league pyramid. At the moment there are very decent players who are hitting the age of thirty with only about forty or fifty first team appearances to their name, mostly FA or League a Cup matches, ridiculous really for competent professionals.

Thats kind of what I was getting at with the 2 loans, theres no way the likes of Chelsea would have 60 players on their books then and I agree Parker the talent would filter down.

When a player needs treatment following a foul, then the other team also lose a player for the same time.

    backpass...

was brought in around 92 is it... to speed up or to deter time wasting and such

well its long overdue a re-look... players use the keeper to pass the ball back even though he cant handle it from 20 30 40 yards or what ever it is... its awful, boring, still timewasting... only for the keeper to hoof it up field and im many occasion out of play...
how about limiting how many times you can pass the ball back to a keeper per half... reach the limit and result in a free kick maybe or in a backpass where the keeper knows its over he backs off and it results in a race for an attcker to chase down... would be a bit more exciting...

for me changing the rule when they did so the keeper could not handle it other than a header back or what have you never really sped up the game, sometimes it results in a quick 1 on 1 situation to kick it out but nowadys with stats and robotic play ruling the game its just as timewasting and boring as before

if you hit the woodwork three times in a half, goal.

Players to pay their agents and not the clubs.
If a player is injured, as mentioned before, just let the physio come on as in rugby and let the game carry on.

Then players' signing on fees would rise to reflect how much they'd pay an agent etc...

When a free kick has been given a member of the guilty team either stands right next to the ball or picks it up..stopping the quick free kick..instant booking.
When the goalie makes a standard catch and dives to the floor..then strolls to the edge of the box..looks around..walks a bit more..then releases it..I've counted 15 seconds..the law is 6..when was the last time you saw a free kick given for that?..instant booking and indirect free kick..or scrap the law.
After 90 mins a substitution made..the slow stroll to the sideline....add a full minute on to what ever the board said when 90 mins came up..how often have you seen 5 mins go up and virtually nothing happens?

    No offsides
    No Var
No teams from West Glamorgan allowed above in the league

Offside is offside - none of this waiting to see if he goes for the ball.
If he's "not interfering with play" what's he doing on the pitch?

Scrap VAR in its present guise.
Bring in the TMO like in the egg, miked up and with replays on the big screen so fans know what's going on (assuming fans will sometime be let back on the ground)

But that's a tactical thing, it's not rule related. If you don't like the ball being passed back to the keeper and him booting up the pitch, what do you think would happen if he could pick it up?

Most teams use the keeper to build from the back, rather than hoof it anyway.

Offside is currently a total mess, but no offsides would be awful.

No var until the year 2040 when decisions can be made instantly by our new ai overlords.

You said one but honourable mentions to:

Clock stops when ball not in play for more than a few seconds.

    Sort handball rule out.

Manchester United and Liverpool players need to have instant lie detectors to distinguish whether there is sufficient contact in the penalty box.

Clubs, particularly those at the top end do far more to make ticketing prices fair and reasonable to most people.

More structure in place to protect clubs from corruption and incompetent ownership.

If a player goes down screaming clutching his ankle/leg etc and rolling around then the ref must deem him to not be in a fit state to continue and must be subbed. If all subs are used then the player still goes off and the team go a man short.

Defenders 'shepherding' the ball out for a goal kick. It's obstruction - they haven't had it under their control, they haven't touched it so why are they allowed to it? I think you should be allowed to shield the ball only if you have control of it.

Oh and fouls on goal keepers if you so much as look at them. They can use their hands FFS they don't need more special treatment.

Obvious dives should be replayed several times from several angles on the big screens, humiliation and a booking would put a stop to them quickly enough
