What a difference an attacking line up at home and having a go makes. Defence under less pressure and a lot of our more attacking players shining with Moore and Glatzel brought into the game more.

Bring on Bristol if we approach it with the same attitude and kind of starting lineup.
    Big confidence booster.
Same 11 to start Friday. Let the Moore-Glatzel partnership have time to come good.

Change did come on 65 minutes but can't see sense in keeping Pack, Moore and Hoilett on for the 90 minutes when our next game is on Friday and we're 3 up by 77 minutes. I suppose it's to give us a renewed sense of how high our standards should be from a starting 11.

Good nights work. Big game on Friday.

Still not sure where Whyte fits in. So lightweight

Good crosser of the ball but too lightweight to start, coming on against tired legs you’d prefer murphy, and the second striker had already gone off with Moore unable to run anymore.

Personally I’d have rather us loan out Whyte than Pato

They could have a good partnership as long as the ball gets played into them.Wilson what a player just class.

We haven't loaned out Paterson - sold him.

    I wouldn't!
He's had enough time to show what he's about and it hasn't been great.
A 70% fit Hoilett is more use.

I see nothing wrong with seeing Whyte coming off the bench when we are comfortable either.
It seems like an ideal opportunity to give him a run, no pressure and all that.

Whyte runs around a lot, but does nothing else. God knows how Warnock managed to spend over £8m on him, Flint and Vaulks last summer.

Excellent win. Good to attack from the start. May not work v a more experienced side.

Much better. Hoilett was class. Ralls worked very hard. A bit like treading in treacle at times as could have put them away by a hat full but overall a good night.

Dont fancy this game at all but City cant afford to keep losing otherwise we will be dragged into a relegation battle.
We desperately need Wilson and Tomlin to be fit.

    We won pretty convincingly.

There's just no pleasing some people.

Cracking performance, Hoilett's best game in ages and Ralls showing he's our best centre mid if we play him in centre mid! Bennett was outstanding at left back, MOM for me but quite a few could have claimed that.

    Bennett was excellent.

    It's all about confidence.
Few early tackles and an early goal and every man starts to win they're battles on the pitch

Cant imagine the Wurzels will be so soft.

Re: FT: CARDIFF CITY 3 - 0 BARNSLEY. Match thread

Not one bad performance. Bennett’s best game for us? Wilson is a premier league player and makes us a better team. Two strikers worked their socks off and deserved a goal between them at least. Feeling more confident about Bristol now,

Have a mate who's a Crusaders fan, think Whyte was their largest transfer fee received and it was only a sell on clause

you can play with high intensity and be able to pass.
some people on this board seem to think you can either choose between route one or tiki taka.
nobody in the top leagues are doing either really these days

Re: FT: CARDIFF CITY 3 - 0 BARNSLEY. Match thread

    Hoilett was excellent.

Bennett added much needed support and his defence was good.

Back four looked more solid .

Pack and Ralls worked hard covered a lot of ground to allow the front players the space and time to attack.

Wilson is in the wrong league and we are very fortunate to have him, whoever pulled that off deal deserves a massive pat on the back.

    Ojo looks dangerous.

Moore is a bargain buy, works so hard , another pat on the back I'd say for the club .

    Upwards and onwards.

To a man, they all played well and they all put in a shift. Fantastic display. Makes a result like Saturday's hard to understand.

Surely, we have to start 4-4-2 on Friday?
