Happy birthday to a fine ex City player.
Yes happy birthday. My favourite ever City goal was the Peter King goal (2mins 47 seconds) just after Bobby's in the same match.

I'm sure somebody on here will know if any other centre half has scored a hat-trick against us although I don't know of any.

There can't be too many centre halves who've scored a hat-trick full stop but I remember Chris Nichol scored 4 times in one match, 2 for his own side and 2 own goals !
Sadly Middlesbrough won it 4-3, after we'd been 3-1 up. And Frank Parsons saved penalty, and then went missing and we let in three, two were his fault. He was dropped for the following week's game and Jim Eadie brought in, and only played about 5 more games for us in the next two seasons. I was in the Canton stand so saw close up how we threw it away.

    You are correct.

Boro also had a centre half called Bill Gates at the time!

Was he signed during the transfer windows?

I was on the Bob Bank near the Canton Stand so unfortunately I saw Frank Parson's gaffes in close up too. A game to forget.

There was a hell of lot of us in the Canton that day!
