Should kebabs be classed as healthy?

    Think about it.

Lamb/chicken with a load of salad and a bit of dressing.

If you take out the chips & pitta bread, surely that's a pretty healthy meal !

Have you never woken up the morning after the night before after being too drunk to eat your large mixed kebab?
The amount of congealed grease. Staggering.

I suppose if you had a lamb shish from the griddle it would be better but my body craves the grease from the donner after a good drink.

I had a doner kebab recently that wasn't greasy enough. I was gutted. No one understood.

    This study might help :
Staffordshire trading standards carried out tests*in*the county – the average*kebab*contained 6.44g salt – over the recommended daily intake of 6g; 1171*calories*– over half a woman's daily food intake; and 42.4g saturated*fat*– over the recommended intake of 20g for a woman and 30g for a man.

Eating doner kebabs is to healthy eating in the same way that injecting bleach is to coronavirus

Meat, salad and bread. That's a pretty decent meal. All things in moderation.

This is it, knew a doctor that said everything goes as long as its in moderation, he was including exercise and healthy fads in that as well.

You are the poster boy for the healthy kebab.

I've heard the German Doner Kebab place on city road is decent, might get one for lunch next time I'm in the office.

I get donor wraps from Yummies in Fairwater. They're brilliant. And they deliver in normal times too. One thing though, they don't take cards - -strictly cash only.

So other than the excess salt, saturated fat and sizeable calorie intake you're saying it's protein goodness?

Chicken shish kebab in pita with salad and a balsamic dressing would be rather healthy...

Any type of doner kebab in pita with lashings of garlic mayonnaise with a side portion of chips is a heart attack waiting to happen.... Tastes good after 10 pints though

If you're chucking ten pints down your throat I'm sure you're not that bothered!
