But the BBC are not 'refusing' to play it.
They said they will play the original version on Radio 2 and leave it to DJ's to choose on Radio 6, but that they feel that the words, acceptable at the time, may be misconstrued by younger listeners who are the target audience of Radio 1.
If a radio 1 listener likes what he, it or she hears and goes to you-tube or somewhere they'll hear the original anyway, if they don't already know it.
