Thread: Team for Millwall

    Team for Millwall

Not looking good with injuries. Tomlin out for several months, Tutu another month. Cunningham almost back. Harris bit concerned by knock Moore took last night so fingers crossed on that one. Hadn't seen Bacuna or Whyte who have been away on international duty.
Team more or less picks itself. Assuming Bacuna fit as he is our only right back.
    Smithies
    Bacuna
    Morrison
    Nelson
    Bennett
    Ojo
    Hoilett
    Ralls
    Pack
    Wilson
    Moore

    Re: Team for Millwall

We have to drop this 4-5-1 rubbish, and play 4-4-2, with two strikers.
Whether that's Moore and Glatzel, or Moore and Ojo, or some other combination - it doesn't matter.
You can't expect a striker to hold off three defenders on his own.
If you do, the 'spare' guy (3 out of 4 on the lone striker, leaves 1 free) can push up, and help to boss the midfield.
If there are two strikers, then the defence have to choose who they're going to mark, and our midfield have two targets to aim at.
    This is basic stuff...

To counter that, if you're one player light in midfield, you can get overrun.

Do agree I think the Glatzel and Moore partnership is worth another 60 minutes at least, what we got to lose .

Moore needs a game's rest, club and country should work together to manager hectic schedule, and if we're admitting it's a poorly constructed squad if we can't give it to him.

    Smithies
    Bacuna
    Morrison
    Nelson
    Bennett
    Pack
    Ralls
    Ojo
    Wilson
Harris (confidence must be high after scoring against Germany)
    Glatzel

If only Tomlin was fit............................................... .........

............................or better still, if only we'd unloaded him years ago and used the money we have wasted on him getting a play maker who actually plays.
I know that's a novelty but it might just have worked.

Quite like this. Can always big Moore on if things aren't going well for Harris. Give him a go!

I think if Harris doesn't get the nod tomorrow he's bound too soon with the games coming thick and fast.
