    50 years ago today.

    November 28th 1970: Cardiff City 0 Luton Town 0

    The same result today could seem disappointing but I think I'd find it weirdly satisfying.

    Was this the season where the away game was snowed off.

    Remember we went to see Spurs v Newcastle instead.

    Thanks for the plug Richard . That game was played less than three weeks after the sale of John Toshack, yet it attracted a best of the league season crowd of 26,000 plus - Luton were also promotion challengers that season, but the attendance was more than what would have been expected under normal circumstances. However, almost certainly, the reason for the big crowd was that tickets for the game against Real Madrid at Ninian Park in over three months time were on sale for the first time that day.
