I don't think there is a limit on the number of loan players an EFL club can have during the season.

There is a limit of 5 loan players on a match day team sheet.

Cardiff have got Wilson, Ojo, Benkovic and Osei-Tutu on loan - so could take one more in January and still have all the loans on a team sheet.

I can see Benkovic leaving in January. He's not close to getting a kick.
