Great scenes for Perez though. 50 years since a Mexican won a GP

    Podium

    Perez
    Ocon
    Stroll

Few quid if you had a tenner on that for a forecast

Never heard of any of them... which I suppose is good for the sport, no?

Great race again. This has been the best season I can remember. Quite ironic the fans haven't been able to get in to watch it live.
I've rolled this years Silverstone ticket over to next years race. Can't wait.

Same with MotoGP, Marquez getting injured early on made it the best season in years.

Russell was so unfortunate, race in the bag & Mercedes fecked up big style.

You're as bad as Sky Sports, stop promoting gambling.

Yeah I was pleased for Perez, bizarre that he hasn't got a drive for next season yet. Gutted for young Russell though, to claw back after the pit stop balls up and then get a puncture. Bottas had good luck disguised as bad luck because losing to his teammate would have been humiliating

Is there a possibility the Mercedes team messed up Russells pit stop to stop Hamilton losing credibility for winning the
    championship ?

Just caught it on a replay.
Must've happened before but I don't think I've ever seen the wrong tyres put on a car.
It seemed that many "occurrances' happened in that race, more than usual.
Pretty entertaining and good to see new faces emerging.

I'm not sure I follow this.

You mean they didn't want him to win because it would look like winning in their car was too easy?

That's my cynical mind . Young inexperienced lad jumps in the super duper car and wins race . Would devalue Hamilton's achievements to a degree.

I think there are less embarrassing ways for them to scupper him than that

    Re: Grand Prix

Mercedes couldn't have wanted Russel to win. The Mercedes team is so professional, I'm doubtful that the pit stop mix up would have happened if Hamilton was driving. I'm glad Perez won. He has driven brilliantly in the last couple of months. Ridiculous he hasn't got a seat for next season. But as the other driver in the team, though inferior, is the son of BWT's owner, it had to be Perez that would go. Perez might get a drive with Red Bull next year but time is running short to sign him up.
