Barry Island Very Busy Yesterday , Is Drakeford To Blame For These Idiots Too ?

Essential journeys , avoid social contact , virus on the rise

Barry Island , Cardiff Bay ?

People walking their dogs , passing other groups of people in large groups

Suns out ......so people , many not from Barry, head to the beach for a jolly

    What a bunch of idiots

Meanwhile the virus takes lives and the NHS struggles to cope

Switch off the lights , we are fecked

Tell me about it. My sister-in-law was quite concerned that the lot of us couldn't get a quiet bit of beach. My uncle and his next door neighbour had to queue for a while to get chips and said there was little social distancing going on. The bus driver was rather kind, though, allowing all 13 of us on to get down there - there were just enough seats and we didn't mind sitting next to others.

Well either thats large groups of people blatantly not giving a feck about anyone else , the health of the NHS staff treating the gormless nerks or its nothing to worry about

Have you got a beach near your morbid little death hole where everyone can come and break the rules and potentially spread the virus ?

Perhaps you could open up your flat and we could round off the day with a party ?

I think that's a great idea , as was the idea those idiots down cardiff bay and Barry Island had ....

Stay at home ......isolate .....save lives ?

Feck that , its a sunny day let's naff off down the beach with the family

It's a difficult situation. looking at those photos, especially the queue for the chippy, that's madness, indulgent and selfish, although the chip shop is open and people don't need much in terms of persuasion to carry out acts that aren't essential, so, the message is a bit skewed, don't you think?

People need to get out, Barry is always going to be busy during a holiday, why can't the local authority send out stewards and have the odd plod out monitoring the situation? Ideally, they wouldn't have to do that, but the reality is that some people need monitoring and a bit of guidance, or a personal chip shop in Barry

Large groups is one thing, but I don't really see the problem with people walking their dog? People need to go outside

Exactly, there has to be some balance. The queue for the chippie looks like a balls up, people on the beach being sensible, good luck to them. So much written on here about mental health, well maybe certain individuals need to understand that being stuck in, especially at this time of year, with young kids etc is driving families over the edge. It's one thing having to worry about yourself, when there's four or five others in a household then things can get messy very quickly. Circumstances dictate certain actions.

    Social Distance
    Hand washing
    Ventilation (replacing potentially infected air)
    Mask wearing

Being outside is much, much better than them going round each others houses.

Yup, that's where the problem lies in my opinion. I've witnessed it plenty of times with my job.

With barely anything open certain places get very busy, be it barry beach or Roath park lake, the bay etc....this happened before in the summer. They should open up more things to spread the idiots out evenly.....they are always going to do something.

I agree, people are now appearing to do “what’s needed” for themselves to exist, actual rules are coming in a close 2nd it would appear.

Totally agree, Barry was not “rammed” at all.. yes there were many people walking, exercising and enjoying the sunshine

Much better to be outdoors socially distancing than cooped up in doors with little ventilation

And it's understandable to a certain degree, although i don't mean blatant piss taking.

Well the medical advice is we shouldn't be socialising at all ?

So who do we listen to ?

The doctors trying to control the pandemic or Billy bollocks next door ?

We are in lockdown . If you have a dog take it for a little walk around the block , not drive down the beach where other pillocks , and their aunties and uncles and kids will be doing the same .

Fecking god help us , country of idiots

we shouldn't be going round each others houses OR naffing off down the beach

Is going down the beach an essential journey ?

Can fido go for a walk around the block till lockdown is over ? Of course he can

Either people are going to do whats asked of them or we rip up the rulebook .

Everyone's pissed off with the restrictions but the more people break the rules , the longer we will be in lockdown

    Its pretty simple really

Problem at this time of year is after presents there is so much excessive packaging it won't fit in recycling.

I head to Barry as closest access to water and chuck all the plastic in there.

Porthcawl was the same according to friends who live there , cars everywhere ,dogs running around, pubs ,restaurants were empty though , and non-essential shopping was policed.

is a trip to take you and the dog and the wife and kids from cardiff to Barry Island an essential journey ?

    No officer

Right you are going to be punished , here is a 60 quid fine

Thank god for that , I thought it would be six points and 300 quid or even a clamped car

Gosh no , you have ignored the rules blatantly , put others lives at risk and possibly increased the pressure on an already overstretched NHS but don't worry about it 😉

    Its only a pandemic

Right you are going to be punished , here is a 60 quid fine Why do you think that

Thank god for that , I thought it would be six points and 300 quid or even a clamped car If we had to spend another day all banged up together after months and months one of us would have been in your car arrested for murder. We had to get out for a while to save or mental health.

Well if you put it like that I can understand, specially if getting the wife and kids out for a few hours saves you from having a
breakdown and burndening the NHS with more problems whilst they are fighting this pandemic. Just keep your social distancing.

    Its only a pandemic
Thank you office for being so understanding.

Oh that's alright Sir, if I didn't get out doing this job every day I'd have probably murdered my wife too by now.
