    Another Guitar Legend has Passed

Leslie West, a fantastic guitarist with the band Mountain died today aged 75. Probably a few fans on here will be saddened to hear of his death. Flowers of Evil was a great album and he was most certainly a great guitar player. RIP Leslie.

Nantucket Sleigh Ride was used as the theme tune to the TV programme 'The World At One', n'est pas?
And the title refers to whaling, I believe.

Can say I’ve never heard of him but may have seen as I was at Deep Purple Knebworth concert where Mountain played on the bill.

There was a programme out many years ago called Night of the Guitars. I believe he played that piece on there and dedicated it to his old band mate from Mountain, Felix Pappalardi.

Wasnt familiar with West, but was of this guy who passed last year. This is Dick Dale, he was around 70 in this video. Still playing guitar like a god.
